Of course Tom Petty was right, ‘the waiting is the hardest part’. But the waiting is also the inevitable part.
It’s going to take longer than you think. You’re going to have to wait.
So it really comes down to this…Waiting patiently vs. waiting impatiently.
The waiting is the hardest part because it’s so easy to wait impatiently…and impatience makes everything worse.
On the other hand, waiting patiently doesn’t make the waiting go away or take less time…it just makes everything better.
You don’t get to choose if you wait but you do get to choose how you wait.
