It’s one of the best things in basketball or in any sport. The team gets down early and then fights and claws and comes out on top.
It resonates with all of us because we know if we were ever declared victorious, we have all the scratching and clawing to show for it. We live in the scratching and clawing. A comeback win is perhaps the only type of win available to us.
The part of the metaphor that doesn’t really hold up for most of us is that no one is against us. So don’t get distracted by looking for someone to blame. Just keep scratching and clawing
