I’m not sure there is such a thing.
There’s bad writing. There’s writing you probably shouldn’t share. There’s lazy writing, mediocre writing, timid writing, lowest common denominator writing, rushed writing, uninspired writing, and the list goes on.
But are any of those a waste? At a bare minimum any of the above examples usher you into the next thing you’re going to write after it.
